About Me
I’m Tenzin Dadak, a Tibetan student and debate coach passionate about helping our youth find and own their voices.
I’m currently a senior at Harvard University, but my debate journey started at Bronx Science, one of the top speech and debate programs in the country. I competed nationally in Public Forum Debate, served as Captain and Novice Director of the team. As a debater, I broke at the Gold Tournament of Champions and was nationally ranked.
I started coaching right after high school and have worked with debaters at all levels—from middle schoolers just beginning their public speaking journeys to nationally competitive Public Forum teams bringing home tournament wins. I’ve taught debate and public speaking to young people all across the U.S. at the big debate camps, and served as Director of Rokpa, a national Tibetan youth nonprofit. I know what it’s like to grow up trying to speak up in spaces that don’t always hear us—and I’m here to change that.
We’re here to change the game.
Right now, the debate world can feel exclusive—private coaches charge hundreds of dollars an hour, and access often depends on privilege. As a former coach - I founded Tibetan Debate Academy to provide an enriching coaching experience that is affordable.
We specialize in Public Forum Debate—an event where students argue both sides of complex, real-world issues in a way that values clarity, persuasion, and logic over jargon or technical tricks. It’s an event that rewards preparation, critical thinking, and heart—and that’s what we bring to the table. I created Tibetan Debate Academy because I truly believe in the power of public speaking and the doors it can open, and we hope you choose to join this community.
